Shuffle safely

Last updated 2 November 2026. The same five rules the app shows you before your first chat.

A Shuffle is two people meeting and each handing over an item. ShuffleIn is designed around that moment: only a rough area is ever shared, the chat stays inside the app so nobody needs your number, and these five rules are shown before your first chat and stay one tap away in every chat.

The five rules

  1. Meet in a busy public place, in daylight. A cafe, a mall, a metro gate, a society gate. Never at home, never late at night.
  2. Tell a friend, or bring one. Say where you are going and who you are meeting.
  3. Check the item before you hand over yours. Switch it on, look it over, ask questions. Walk away if it is not what was shown. A Shuffle is final the moment it is done.
  4. Never pay, and never share bank, UPI or ID details. Shuffles on ShuffleIn are always free. Anyone asking for money is breaking the rules: do not pay, do report.
  5. Report anything odd. Rude messages, a no-show, an item not as described: report it from the chat. Blocking is instant.

What ShuffleIn does for you

If something goes wrong

A fair warning. ShuffleIn introduces people; the Shuffle itself is between the two of you. No app can promise that a stranger is honest. These rules, and the standing you can see on every profile, are there so you can decide for yourself, with your eyes open.
